St Thomas, Werneth

Asylum Seekers

Many Asylum Seekers are involved at St. Thomas - particularly from Afghanistan and Iran - Farsi and Dari speakers. Many come to explore the Christian faith, or to deepen their faith.

There is a friendly Bible Study and Discussion Group on most Thursdays at 3pm in St. Paul's Church on Ashton Road. The discussion is in English and Farsi. This also includes thorough preparation for Baptism and Confirmation.

Before this there is an English Class at 1pm, again at St. Paul's Church. It is free to anyone who wishes to come.

We have bibles in Farsi and Arabic and English, for those who don't have one.

Resources

We can give you a bible in Farsi or Arabic or English, if you don't already have one.
